Job summary

Opportunity Partners, Inc. is seeking an Employment Service Coordinator to help people with disabilities thrive at work sites, including at the General Mills Bakery in Chanhassen, MN. The role focuses on coaching, skill development, and arranging meaningful employment opportunities.

The position emphasizes collaboration with county case managers, referral sources, and coworkers to ensure successful work experiences and independence for our clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum education in human services, education, or health fields.
• Direct care experience with persons with disabilities or vulnerable adults preferred.
• Experience providing care or education to vulnerable populations may substitute degrees.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and assist our people with disabilities at client sites.
• Serve as liaison between business customers and clients to support the work program.
• Help clients develop and enhance work skills.
• Communicate with county case managers, referral sources, and coworkers for supported services.
• Foster meaningful work and social development for individuals.

Education

Baccalaureate degree in human services/education/health

Associate degree in related field

Diploma in related field

50 hours of education and training in human services/education/health + 4 years direct care experience

Job Summary:

As an Employment Service Coordinator, you will help our people with disabilities to successfully work and earn a paycheck at our customer’s sites. You will help our people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible. You will work at the General Mills Bakery in Chanhassen, MN.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• Wage: $20.00 per hour

How will you make a difference?

As part of team, you will help our people with disabilities in the following areas:

• Train, coach, and assist our people with disabilities while working at our business customers site
• Be a liaison between our business customers and our clients to ensure the success of the work program
• Assist our clients develop and enhance their work skills
• Communicate & collaborate with the people with disabilities' representative, county case manager, referral sources, co-workers for Opportunity Partners supported services.
• Bring meaning to their lives by having a job that they enjoy
• Grow and develop their social skills

DESIGNATED COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

• A designated coordinator may have a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A designated coordinator may have an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A designated coordinator may have a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 or older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services, education, or health and four years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children and is under the supervision of staff person who meets the designated coordinator qualifications listed above.
