Job summary

Opportunity Partners in Minnesota seeks an Employment Service Coordinator to help people with disabilities work and earn a paycheck at customer sites, including the General Mills Bakery in Chanhassen.

You will train and coach program participants, strengthen their skills, and foster independence in a supportive work environment. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM with a $20.00 hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Designated coordinator may have a related Bachelor's degree and 1 year of direct care experience.
• Designated coordinator may have an Associate degree with 2 years of experience.
• Diploma holders may have 3 years of experience in care or education.
• Minimum 50 hours of related education and 4 years of full-time experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and assist our people with disabilities at customer sites.
• Liaise between our business customers and clients to ensure program success.
• Help clients develop and enhance their work skills.
• Communicate with representatives, county case managers, referral sources, and coworkers.
• Help individuals find meaningful work and grow their social skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or health

Associate degree in human services, education, or health

Diploma in human services, education, or health

50 hours of education and training in human services/education

Job Summary As an Employment Service Coordinator, you will help our people with disabilities to successfully work and earn a paycheck at our customer’s sites. You will help our people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible. You will work at the General Mills Bakery in Chanhassen, MN.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• Wage: $20.00 per hour

How will you make a difference? As part of team, you will help our people with disabilities in the following areas:

• Train, coach, and assist our people with disabilities while working at our business customers site
• Be a liaison between our business customers and our clients to ensure the success of the work program
• Assist our clients develop and enhance their work skills
• Communicate & collaborate with the people with disabilities' representative, county case manager, referral sources, co-workers for Opportunity Partners supported services.
• Bring meaning to their lives by having a job that they enjoy
• Grow and develop their social skills

Designated Coordinator Qualifications

• A designated coordinator may have a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A designated coordinator may have an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A designated coordinator may have a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 or older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
• A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services, education, or health and four years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children and is under the supervision of staff person who meets the designated coordinator qualifications listed above.
