Job summary

KPF is seeking a Design Technology Software Specialist to join our New York office. The role requires 3–5 years of technical support experience in architecture/design firms and familiarity with Autodesk software.

You will test, deploy, and support design technology tools, collaborating with global offices and BIM leads. Based in New York, you will be in-office 5 days a week, working with senior staff and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in architecture, BIM, or design technology environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive learner with curiosity about new tools.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate design technology applications and plugins.
• Provide support and configuration of Autodesk products.
• Interface with software support engineers to resolve issues.
• Monitor and manage tickets and user requests.
• Debug deployed tools and troubleshoot issues.
• Document workflows and training materials.
• Collaborate with BIM and Design Technology leads on issues and processes.
• Participate in internal testing of new software releases.
• Organize and develop design technology resources and documentation.
• Provide training sessions on tools and modeling strategies.
• Stay informed about Autodesk updates and emerging platforms.
• Demonstrate professionalism when collaborating with project teams.
