Job summary

Rockwell Group is seeking a Design Technology Specialist (Junior to Intermediate) for the Design Technology team in New York. The role focuses on supporting BIM issues, setting up models, and expanding the Design Technology library while contributing to office standards.

You will report to the Director of Design Technology and collaborate with Studio members across projects ranging from interior repositioning to large-scale, innovative designs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in architecture/interiors.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in architecture, advanced design, or interiors.
• Proficient Revit skills and familiarity with plugins (Pyrevit, Ideate).
• Ability to 3D model in Rhino.
• Experience in scripting (Grasshopper, Dynamo) preferred but not required.
• Hospitality/interior design experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative communicator.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and assist staff with day-to-day BIM issues.
• Set up initial Revit models for new projects with shared coordinates.
• Review BIM health for project teams.
• Create and maintain Revit Families and content.
• Assist with development of Revit templates.
• Help implement the Design Technology office standards and policies.
• Lead regular BIM project team meetings.
• Support Design Technology Managers and Director.
• Develop and teach in-office training.
• Assist Studio teams as production staff.
