Job summary

Gensler's New York Design Technology Studio leads digital transformation across the Northeast, enabling practitioners to leverage cutting‑edge tools and data. We seek a disruptive technologist to join our award‑winning team and advance design through data, ML, and AI integration.

You will consult on workflows, train teams, and collaborate with data engineers to deploy models, while supporting R&D and education initiatives across projects and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture with data experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a highly creative environment and collaborate on complex problems.
• Proficiency with Revit API and at least one of Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with analysis workflows in Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, and Grasshopper.

Responsibilities

• Consult design teams on workflows using advanced design technology on high‑performance projects.
• Support a data‑driven design community in the region.
• Collaborate to develop, train and deploy ML algorithms from data sources.
• Leverage data models to identify trends and insights aligned with business needs.
• Research datasets and data integration opportunities (geospatial, proprietary, operational).
• Evaluate build vs. buy options for technologies in AEC space.
• Support R&D for data, ML and AI in architecture practice.
• Educate staff on computational design software and energy simulations.
• Document case studies demonstrating value of computational design.
