Job summary

Gensler is seeking a design technology leader to advance digital transformation across the New York Northeast region. You will guide workflows, train staff and collaborate with data teams to deploy ML-driven insights in high performance projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, architectural practice, and the integration of generative AI with design processes. A portfolio is required for full consideration, with a base salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture with proven equivalent professional experience in Applied Data, Data Engineering, or Data Analysis.
• Ability to work in a highly creative environment and collaborate on solutions to complex problems.
• Proficiency with Revit API, and at least one of Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper with a focus on analysis workflows.
• Experience with machine learning, LLMs & generative AI technologies and end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Proficiency with Data Visualization Tools like PowerBI and ML visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Consult teams on design and delivery workflows utilizing multiple digital design technology on high performance projects.
• Support a fast-growing data-driven design community in the region.
• Collaborate with the data team to develop, train and deploy ML algorithms using data from design tools.
• Leverage trained data models to identify trends and insights aligned with business needs.
• Research opportunities and integrate additional datasets such as geospatial and operational data.
• Research emerging technologies in the AEC space and advise on build vs. buy strategies.
• Support R&D for implementing data, ML and AI in the AEC practice.
• Contribute to converging digital strategy with data and insights generation for business goals.
• Educate staff to use computational design software and energy simulation tools.
• Document case studies demonstrating value of computational design for high performance buildings.
