Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Engineer for the Engineering Systems & Tools team to drive the internal CAD, PLM, and broader design software ecosystem. You will collaborate with hardware and software leaders to implement strategies that boost productivity and reduce cycle times, while ensuring standards and governance across engineering teams.

You will define tooling roadmaps with cross-functional stakeholders, monitor industry trends, and champion adoption of best practices and automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, UX Design, or related field.
5+ years of hardware design engineering experience with CAD/PLM/PDM systems.
Strong user empathy and stakeholder management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced hardware environment.
U.S. Person due to export control access.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement design engineering software strategies to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and improve design quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the design engineering tools roadmap with business objectives.
Monitor industry trends to keep hardware design processes at the cutting edge.
Drive adoption of CAD, PLM, PDM across the company and own the feedback loop between users and developers.
Partner with design engineers to translate workflow pain points into actionable improvements in tools.
Define and enforce CAD/PLM standards, data governance, and best practices across hardware engineering teams.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of design engineering software standard instructions and best practices.
