United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Lead Designer to own our design language and component library. You will bridge UX design with frontend engineering to ensure cohesive, accessible interfaces across web, mobile, and hardware touchpoints.

Bring 7+ years in Product Design, 4+ in Design Systems, expert Figma skills, and proficiency in coordinating with Storybook. A strong portfolio and technical writing are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Design with 4+ years in Design Systems.
• Expert-level Figma proficiency (Auto-layout, Variables, Prototyping).
• Strong understanding of frontend tech and WCAG accessibility.
• Experience coordinating between Figma and Storybook or similar tool.
• Portfolio showing polished visual design with a systemic approach.
• Technical/UX writing with clear naming in system context.
• Ability to discuss interaction, visual, motion, and writing aspects clearly.

Responsibilities

• Architecture: Define and maintain the core Figma component library, tokens, and docs.
• Scale: Build scalable systems across web, mobile, and hardware interfaces.
• Governance: Establish process for proposing, vetting, and integrating components.
• Advocacy: Bridge Design and Engineering for pixel-perfect implementation.
• Product Design: Build and test interactive components and prototypes; cross-product support.
