Job summary

Rocket Money is seeking a Design System Engineer to grow our shared UI primitives across React Native and web. You will partner with designers and engineers to improve components, tokens, and tooling while strengthening accessibility and documentation to enable scalable adoption.

You’ll contribute to motion patterns and ensure high-quality, polished experiences. The role emphasizes collaboration, clarity in code, and building scalable, accessible design systems for Rocket Money’s product teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, building user-facing product experiences with React or React Native.
• Strong frontend fundamentals and focus on reliable, maintainable UI for other engineers.
• Hands‑on experience with accessibility and inclusive product design, keyboard, screen readers, color contrast, and focus management.

Responsibilities

• Build accessible, reusable components for React Native and web libraries with high quality and accessibility by default.
• Evolve design system foundations: components, tokens, patterns, docs, and tooling for consistent user experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, product engineers, and stakeholders to translate design intent into durable implementations and promote adoption of system patterns.
• Strengthen accessibility practices and raise the bar across Rocket Money teams.
