We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager to oversee the ongoing support and operational coordination of wireless infrastructure deployed across a large, multinational enterprise environment. This individual will help ensure systems remain functional, service providers meet their commitments, and technical issues are addressed efficiently across multiple locations.
Working closely with the wireless infrastructure program leadership team, this person will manage the execution of day-to-day activities, coordinate external service partners, and maintain visibility into system performance, site readiness, and outstanding issues. The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of telecommunications, enterprise IT, and facilities operations.
The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver with experience managing technical projects, coordinating vendors, and keeping complex operational initiatives organized. Advanced wireless engineering knowledge is not necessary, but an understanding of networking and telecommunications infrastructure will be valuable.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations & Issue Management
- Monitor ongoing operational activities across a distributed portfolio of wireless infrastructure installations.
- Maintain visibility into service interruptions, equipment alerts, outstanding maintenance items, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate issue resolution between internal technical teams, external service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure incidents are documented, prioritized appropriately, and escalated to the right resources.
- Identify recurring operational challenges and recommend improvements to prevent future disruptions.
- Coordinate contractors and telecommunications partners responsible for system maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical support.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service expectations, response times, and contractual commitments.
- Facilitate recurring operational meetings, review outstanding action items, and hold service providers accountable for deliverables.
- Help resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and execution issues that affect service delivery.
- Evaluate operational risks and communicate concerns to program leadership.
Site Coordination & Access Management
- Organize access to facilities where wireless infrastructure is installed, including approval requests, security clearances, and escort arrangements.
- Work with facilities teams, property representatives, and local contacts to coordinate maintenance visits and technical work.
- Ensure vendors follow established access procedures, site policies, and applicable security requirements.
- Assist with planning site visits when remote troubleshooting is insufficient or on-site intervention is required.
Technical Coordination & Change Control
- Work with network and infrastructure teams to coordinate equipment deployments, system modifications, and monitoring connectivity.
- Maintain records of system configurations, site details, maintenance activity, and infrastructure changes.
- Support established change control procedures to ensure modifications are properly documented and communicated.
- Facilitate technical discussions by gathering relevant information, clarifying dependencies, and routing issues to the appropriate specialists.
- Assist with improving monitoring practices, escalation procedures, and operational documentation.
Project Tracking & Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain project trackers, issue logs, vendor records, status reports, and operational dashboards.
- Provide concise updates on progress, service concerns, outstanding decisions, and potential schedule or budget impacts.
- Coordinate with IT, real estate, facilities, procurement, and external partners to keep activities aligned.
- Assist leadership with budget tracking, resource planning, and prioritization of operational initiatives.
- Standardize workflows and reporting practices to improve consistency across geographically dispersed locations.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of project management or technical operations coordination experience.
- Working knowledge of IT networking, telecommunications infrastructure, or related technical environments.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and driving tasks through completion.
- Previous responsibility for third-party vendor relationships, service delivery, or contractor oversight.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, project tracking, documentation, and operational reporting.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical teams and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience managing incidents, escalations, service requests, or operational workflows.
- Self-directed work style with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to domestic facilities.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining regular communication, accountability, and visibility into active work.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), cellular coverage infrastructure, or enterprise wireless deployments.
- Familiarity with telecommunications carriers and service providers, including Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile.
- Experience working with DAS equipment manufacturers or infrastructure vendors such as CommScope, Ericsson, or SOLiD.
- Understanding of network connectivity, remote monitoring, system alarms, and infrastructure configuration.
- Experience supporting large enterprise environments with multiple sites and geographically dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with IT service management, ticketing, incident response, and change management platforms.
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in information technology, telecommunications, engineering, networking, or a related discipline.
