Job summary

Design Within Reach, part of MillerKnoll, is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant in New York. You will engage customers, support sales and operations, and contribute to visual merchandising while working weekends and holidays as required.

Reports to the Assistant Manager and collaborates with a dynamic team. You will respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-store interactions, manage social media engagement, and help with ordering and stocking.

Qualifications

• Background in Retail Sales or customer success preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with basic social media management.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and regularly move items.

Responsibilities

• Respond to clients via phone, email and in-store.
• Monitor social media messages and add items to client wish list for out-of-stock items.
• Create social media stories and posts daily to drive customer engagement.
• Assist with sales support and post-sale follow up with warehouse or 3rd party delivery companies.
• Ensure all items on the sales floor are properly tagged and updated daily.
• Organize and restock the cash wrap area, filing receipts daily.
• Maintain and assist in ordering supplies for break room, janitorial areas, and warehouse.
