Job summary

Schell Brothers in Delaware is seeking a Design Studio Consultant to guide homeowners through interior and exterior finish selections, coordinate change orders, and support the Boise Division’s design initiatives. You will collaborate with Sales and Construction teams to translate customer selections into finished homes.

The role requires strong organization and communication, 2+ years in residential production home building, and a bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a residential production home builder.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead design appointments with homeowners for personalized selections of interior and exterior finishes.
• Complete change orders through internal processes.
• Assist in Boise Design Center – helping in selections and communications with suppliers.
• Oversee relationships with external design representatives and sample suppliers.
• Manage and oversee the Online Design Studio for the Boise Division.
• Communicate with Sales and Construction teams on design changes and customer choices.
• Understand floor plans and 2020 designs of cabinets and finishes.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Design Studio Consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Leading design appointments with homeowners for personalized selections of interior and exterior finishes.
• Complete change orders through internal processes.
• Assist in completing the Boise Design Center – helping in selections for displays, communication with ordering, etc.
• Oversee and own relationships with external design representatives, such as coordinating communication with companies that supply samples for our Design Studio and home finishes.
• Management and oversight of the Online Design Studio for the Boise Division.
• Communicate with the Sales Team and Construction Team on design changes, updates, and customer choices.
• Thorough understanding of floor plans, 2020 designs of cabinets, etc.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with a residential production home builder.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field (preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi‑task with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
