Job summary

Homes by Towne in Florida seeks a Design Studio Consultant to be the first contact for homebuyers after purchase, guiding them through studio selections and ensuring satisfaction throughout the process.

You will review choices with buyers, enter selections in NewStar, coordinate pricing with purchasing, and maintain accurate data while keeping the showroom up to date. A fast-paced office background and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in a fast-paced office with administrative responsibilities.

Job Summary:

The Design Studio Consultant is the first point of contact for homebuyers after purchase, and responsible for ensuring their satisfaction throughout the studio selection process and beyond. This role educates buyers on the available studio choices, both included and optional, and enters their selections into the company software platforms. Consultants help maintain an attractive environment and share the responsibility of accurately displaying options.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Builds a rapport with the homebuyer with the end goal of helping the buyer design a home they will love
• Conducts in person appointments reviewing all choices available to the homebuyer, with consideration towards their design goals and budget
• Shares product knowledge with buyers and demonstrates product offerings where applicable
• Provides exceptional customer service at all times to internal and external customers
• Accurately and efficiently enters buyers option choices into design documents
• Request pricing from purchasing via NewStar. Input and maintain data for design choices in NewStar; responsible for accuracy and integrity of data
• Prepares for all buyer appointments which could include pulling samples to ensure appointments run smoothly and effectively
• Responds to homebuyers, operations, trade partners, and sales teams phone calls, e-mails, and correspondence in a timely manner
• Routinely reviews and has proficient level knowledge for all products offered in the Studio
• Attends staff meetings or product training as scheduled
• Makes certain the studio environment maintains a professional appearance

Education / Experience / Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a high-paced office environment with administrative responsibilities; construction background preferred
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, with the ability to self-audit work
• Possess a positive and pleasant attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge; maintaining and creating advanced spreadsheets
• Experience with NewStar Enterprise and/or Bluebeam software is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other's ideas, and a willingness to cooperate
• Professional appearance and manner, conducting business in a professional and ethical manner with buyers, trade partners, and coworkers
• Work 8-hour days with flexibility for overtime when necessary
