Job summary

Design Within Reach, part of MillerKnoll, in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations and assist clients with product information, orders, and follow-up. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising in a design-forward setting.

You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and work with the sales and visual teams; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites.

Responsibilities

• Support team with order processing, delivery coordination, and client follow-up.
• Help maintain store’s visual presentation and product displays.
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Learn about our products and design principles through training and team meetings.
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide friendly service.
