Job summary

Aaalberts IPSA is seeking a Design Services Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead piping design, drawings and BOM coordination for client projects. You will oversee BEP development and field measurements, collaborating with sales, engineering and field teams.

Role requires travel, strong project management, and experience with AutoCAD/BIM. Join a globally renowned innovator with a focus on excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and clients.
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM in project design.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong project management skills with scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
• Knowledge of piping specification engineering and pipe supports.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B1).

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layout drawings, isometrics, spool sheets with complete BOMs and drawings.
• Perform checking of drawings and BOMs produced in-house and by the design team.
• Conduct project reviews, kick-off meetings, maintain customer contact, and other job control functions.
• Coordinate complete project material handling from manufacturing to installation.
• Prepare BEP and Advanced BOMs and assist in content changes for material delivery.
• Assist sales with APDS drawing quotes.
• Travel to jobsites for field measurements and customer interaction.
• Train drafters and interns.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
