Job summary

Magna in Troy, MI is seeking an Engineer Body to lead design and release of body and exterior components across complete vehicle programs. You will manage 3D CATIA models, drawings, specs, and interface definitions from concept through production launch.

Collaborate with customers, program management, design studio, suppliers, and manufacturing to meet appearance, cost, weight, quality, and regulatory requirements; drive DFMEA, DVP&R, and PPAP activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive body/exterior development.
• Experience designing and releasing components through prototype to launch.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop body and exterior systems through concept to production release.
• Create and manage CATIA models, drawings, and engineering specs.
• Lead part releases, BOM management, and engineering change control.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and customers to meet targets.
• Coordinate DVP&R, DFMEA, PPAP, and validation activities.
