Job summary

Meijer is seeking a seasoned professional to manage site-specific construction drawings for new store and gas station scopes. You will oversee internal and external resources to develop and maintain drawings and manage changes impacting the drawings.

The role requires collaboration with business partners, strong design leadership, and effective budget/schedule management to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction required.
• 5+ years in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Design.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide design expertise in architectural and engineering disciplines to assist with evaluation of new ideas.
• Engage a team of designers and consultants to provide architectural and engineering services to accomplish department deliverables.
• Collaborate with business partners to interpret ideas into design solutions.
• Proactively manage estimating, design development, due-diligence & permitting of projects with partners.
• Develop and coordinate change with internal and external resources.
• Manage project budget creation, updating, closeout & reporting with partners.
• Account for simplification in design of new and existing concepts.
• Develop and manage overall project schedules with the annual prototype schedule.
• Engage with communities for project success.
• Deliver timely RFI management and responses through construction completion.
• Communicate proactively about decisions that affect scope or budget.

This position is responsible for managing site-specific aspects of new store and gas station scopes of work and construction drawings. Responsibilities include managing internal and external resources responsible for developing/maintaining the site-specific construction drawings, as well as managing all change that will impact the drawings.

What You'll be Doing:

• Provides design expertise in architectural and engineering disciplines to assist with the evaluation of new ideas

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Engineering or Construction Field.
• 5+ years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Design.
