Job Title: Design Project Manager – A+E Team (Dallas, Austin, Minneapolis)

Ryan Companies, Inc. is searching for a talented Design Project Manager to join our A+E team in Dallas, Austin, or Minneapolis office. This individual will primarily be responsible for problem solving and managing the design process, ensuring that design intent is executed on time and on budget, both as part of a collaborative team and independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure team members understand expectations and hold them accountable for performance.
  • Provide regular feedback and development conversations.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks and provide timely recognition.
  • Work in tandem with client, director, department leadership and key project team members to develop project management plans for each phase of a project, with periodic oversight of the director.
  • Lead project management efforts throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Participate in and manage design meetings, owner/client meetings, and project team meetings, establishing agendas and documenting decisions.
  • Develop resource plans including internal and consultant management, manage internal resources using Deltek, and review team hours.
  • Participate in consultant contract process: create RPs, solicit proposals, select consultants, execute contracts, and manage consultant scope.
  • Create and manage design schedules, communicate key milestones and deadlines to internal team, partners, and consultants.
  • Manage Owner Authorization to Proceed process for each design phase.
  • Track project scope, open items, and priorities; manage deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  • Direct, supervise, and mentor junior staff.
  • Establish and pursue annual goals for personal, professional, and company growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture (required).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing multiple projects in architecture or engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, resource, and workload management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Procore, Deltek, and other project management software.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and/or WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) certifications preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification desirable.
  • Architectural licensure is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading diverse teams with inspirational, collaborative leadership.
Compensation

Salary range: $99,000 – $120,000 annually. Base salary may vary based on location and candidate qualifications. Position may be eligible for commission and/or incentive programs.
