Responsibilities
  • Develop and issue RFPs for design, engineering, and specialty consultants; collaborate with the development group, operating partners, and outside consultants to establish the project program and basis of design.
  • Produce comprehensive leveling documentation to recommend competitive design fees, including cost and man‑hour estimates as applicable.
  • Prepare consultant contracts in consultation with the legal team.
  • Track and approve invoices based on consultant percent complete and deliverables.
  • Implement, coordinate, and execute the design process through project completion and move‑in.
  • Oversee the analysis of fundamental building systems—foundation, structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology—to select the optimal combination for the project mission.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, leasing, and marketing groups to align design with sales/leasing objectives, and with operating partners to meet supporting space and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the construction group to ensure budget and quality execution objectives are met.
  • Monitor the production of design drawings, ensuring all relevant construction information is included and coordinated with onsite construction activities; aim for 100% complete, coordinated, and correct documentation.
  • Establish agendas for design meetings, track action steps, and administer follow‑up.
  • Record and minute all meetings and track attendee input.
  • Develop and maintain design deliverables schedules in coordination with the master project schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to deliver and evaluate documents within established timelines.
  • Identify and maintain all timelines related to the building department or any other jurisdictional government agency.
Compensation

Anticipated base salary range: $75,000 – $175,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible for discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components, including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture and 2 years of experience as an Architect.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary design consultants, including engineering, architectural, and specialty teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, construction documentation, and code compliance.
  • Experience coordinating design phases from concept through construction administration.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong project management skills, including scheduling, meeting management, and tracking deliverables.
