Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Design Project Coordinator to join our infrastructure team in California. The role focuses on coordinating multi-disciplinary design projects, driving cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing and Production, and ensuring information is organized and communicated clearly to all team members.

The position requires 2+ years in a supportive capacity within engineering/architecture/construction, a STEM degree, and strong MS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supporting role within engineering/construction/architecture.
• Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Strong time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication with attention to detail and urgency.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam; familiarity with Revit/SQL/Python/BI tools.
• Ability to work independently and be a proactive self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Start-Up/Initiation activities including contracts, RFPs, and work authorizations; maintain project directories and numbers.
• Maintain logs for IDs, scope, schedule, and responsible parties; prepare agendas/notes.
• Handle design documentation and construction administration tasks including contract/invoice management and RFI logs.
• Conduct site visits to review progress and document conditions.
• Coordinate with AHJs for permits, reviews, budget tracking.
• Close-out tasks including as-built documentation archiving and consolidation.
• Establish intake workflows; lead weekly project/ticket meetings; develop KPIs with feedback loops.
