Job description

We design, build, and deliver the data center infrastructure powering AI, cloud computing, and the digital economy. As a vertically integrated company, we own every phase of delivery, from design and manufacturing through construction and commissioning, and we're growing our engineering team.

We're looking for a senior Design Program Manager to own the design and documentation of complex data center projects from initial concept all the way through construction. This is a hands-on leadership seat at the center of our projects: driving internal and external design teams, running OAC meetings, and staying involved as design becomes reality in the field.

What you'll do:

  • Lead A/E consultants and internal design teams through every phase, from conceptual design through schematic, design development, and construction documents, on new builds and retrofits
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines into a fully coordinated, clash-free design
  • Run OAC meetings and keep owners, designers, and contractors aligned on scope, schedule, and design intent
  • Serve as the connection point between internal stakeholders and external design firms, driving open items to closure and holding partners to the schedule
  • Stay engaged through construction, leading RFI and submittal review for technical compliance with design intent
  • Manage design scope and consultant fees against budget, identifying and processing changes promptly
  • Ensure all documents meet our data center design standards, industry best practices including Uptime Institute tiers and ASHRAE TC 9.9, and applicable codes
  • Oversee BIM/Revit coordination and model data integrity
  • Keep meticulous notes and action tracking across teams so nothing falls through the cracks

What we're looking for:

  • Senior-level design or program management experience on large-scale data center, mission-critical, or heavy industrial projects
  • Background at an MEP or A/E design firm strongly preferred
  • Deep working knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical infrastructure: critical power paths, cooling topologies, structural loads
  • Proven success leading multi-disciplinary design teams and external A/E firms from design through construction
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Revit/BIM
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field
