HDR's Tampa office is seeking a Design Principal to champion design excellence across a growing practice. This senior role leads concept development, guides multiple projects, and sets the standard for creative, integrated solutions that meet budgets and client expectations.

You will mentor junior designers, help attract top talent, and collaborate with office management and discipline leaders to advance HDR's design philosophy while representing HDR to clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 15 years related experience.
• 7 years project management experience.
• Registered Architect.
• Experience on large-scale projects.
• Ability to lead a team on projects and make client presentations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Extensive knowledge and experience within the local and regional market.
• Strong team leadership, mentoring, motivational/organizational and people skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsabilités

• Champion design excellence for the local office/region.
• Lead design concepts and ideas from pursuit and selection through successful project completion on multiple projects.
• Mentor and develop junior design staff.
• Identify, attract and retain key design staff.
• Collaborate with office management, project management, and discipline leaders on all efforts.
• Lead client presentations and ensure design solutions meet budgets and schedules.
