Mortenson Construction in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Design Phase Manager I or II to lead the design phase, driving customer experience, budget discipline, scheduling, estimating and planning to ensure a smooth handoff to construction. The position supports two project workloads or a single large project, with base salary ranges based on level and location, and eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Detail orientation to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Knowledge of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the project team in achieving scope and budget alignment and schedule alignment.
• Establish and manage project budget and scope expectations and resources.
• Create and supervise project schedules and key milestones.
• Ensure regulatory approvals and permits are obtained.
• Align design documents with the project execution plan.
• Oversee bid packages and contract manuals.
• Identify and resolve technical design and specification concerns.
• Develop project margin plan and forecast
• Act as primary contact with owners, architects, engineers, and trades during design phase
• Monitor and measure project success factors for customers and Mortenson team
• Foster integrated team experience through communication and collaboration
• Mentor design phase team members and guide careers
