Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Design Phase Engineer to support project leadership during the design phase, aligning scope, budget, schedule, and team experience to ensure a smooth transition to construction operations.

In this role you will help establish budgets, create schedules and milestones, assist with regulatory approvals and bid packages, and participate in risk review to maintain strong financial performance across our Denver-area projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating or equivalent field.
• Minimum of two years relevant experience.
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

DESIGN PHASE ENGINEER I

Minimum of six years relevant experience. The base pay range for this role is $84,100 MIN - $113,500 MAX.

DESIGN PHASE ENGINEER II

Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience. The base pay range for this role is $93,400 MIN - $126,100 MAX. Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.

NOTE

• Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
