Mortenson is seeking an experienced Design Phase Engineer I to support project leadership during the design phase, aligning customer experience, financial performance, scheduling, estimating and planning for a smooth transition to construction.

You will support the project team in achieving scope and budget alignment, create and manage project schedules, assist with budgets and permitting, and participate in bid packages and subcontractor selection. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field.
• Minimum of two year’s relevant experience.
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

The Base Pay Range For This Role

Design Phase Engineer I is $84,100 MIN - $113,500 MAX.

Design Phase Engineer II is $93,400 MIN - $126,100 MAX.

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
