Job summary

KALCON in Tualatin, OR seeks a Design Manager (Owner's Representative) to lead the design of semiconductor construction projects from initiation to final design. You will coordinate multiple consultants, ensure milestones are met, and align design activities with project goals.

The role requires 7+ years in design delivery on large capital projects, experience with Design-Build/CMGC, and strong leadership in cross-disciplinary teams. onsite, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years designing, coordinating, or delivering large capital projects.
• Experience with Design-Build, CM/GC, Progressive Design-Build, or similar methods.
• Strong understanding of multi-discipline design processes.
• Experience managing consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules and coordinate stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead meetings.
• Proficient with MS Office, PM software and document management systems.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's Representative from initiation through final design.
• Develop and maintain design management processes and standards.
• Coordinate design schedules across disciplines and stakeholders.
• Lead oversight of Design-Build, CM/GC, and other methods.
• Manage design consultants to ensure timely deliverables.
• Establish design execution plans and milestone tracking.
• Facilitate coordination among owners, design teams, contractors, and utilities.
• Monitor progress, risks, and schedule impacts; resolve issues.
• Maintain design comment logs and decision registers.
• Prepare project status, risk, and schedule updates for leadership.
• Collaborate with controls, construction, and program teams to align design with execution.
