Ideal candidate has extensive facilities design leadership experience, with a strong eye for cost estimating and scheduling during design phases, and the ability to direct several firms and projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 8 years of full-time experience managing facilities design or coordinating capital projects.
• 4 of those years on education facilities or similar public agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.
• Clear writing and the ability to direct multiple design firms and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the District's design process from programming to construction documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with architects, engineers, and staff.
• Select architecture/engineering firms with clear goals, standards, site, schedule, and budget.
• Provide design reviews to ensure compliance with educational and building standards.
• Review design changes to keep projects within budget.
• Coordinate DSA review and approvals.
• Provide status reports with findings and recommendations.
