Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Design Manager to lead the Design department and oversee engineering and design tasks. You will manage staff using CAD software, coordinate with sales, designers and customers for timely project completion, and ensure design work meets production standards.

The role requires an Associate's degree or 4–6 years of related experience with previous management experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 4–6 years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous managerial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the work of employees that are using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Communicates with sales, building designers and customers as required to obtain information for timely completion.
• Reviews design work completed by designers prior to production.
• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
