Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a CAD Designer to create designs and drawings from supplied information. You will collaborate with sales and customers to develop safe, compliant structures and prepare layouts from original concepts.

The role requires reading and interpreting technical drawings and adjusting designs accordingly. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or equivalent and experience with PrimeCad, MS Word, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience.
• Experience with PrimeCad, MS Word, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with outside sales and customers to complete safe, quality structures.
• Ensure stability, deflection, and load paths meet codes for each project.
• Follow quality control procedures for design standards and documentation.
