Bancroft Staffing Partners is seeking a Design Leader (Director/Principal/Senior Designer) to elevate architectural design across California. The role targets an experienced leader with a strong educational portfolio and the ability to mentor teams from concept to execution.

Applicants should bring advanced Revit expertise, BIM workflows, and a track record with DSA-regulated projects. CA residency preferred, with remote-friendly and flexible hybrid scheduling options.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of progressive architectural design experience, including leadership.
• Strong portfolio of DSA-regulated educational projects, particularly K-12 schools and community colleges.
• Experience as Design Director, Design Principal, Senior Designer, or equivalent architectural design leader.
• Advanced Revit proficiency; lead design teams using BIM-based workflows.
• Knowledge of California educational architecture, DSA requirements, and building codes.
• Ability to mentor designers and lead multiple design initiatives.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture; CA licensure preferred; CA residency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design vision, creative direction, and design excellence across multiple educational projects.
• Direct conceptual design, design development, and overall architectural design strategies for DSA, K-12, and community colleges.
• Provide hands-on design leadership using Revit, BIM workflows, and visualization tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and consultants to maintain design intent.
• Lead design presentations, client meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
• Guide teams through California educational design requirements, DSA regulations, and building codes.
• Mentor emerging designers and foster a collaborative studio culture.
• Partner with leadership on strategic design initiatives and project pursuits.
