Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Structural Engineering required.
• 5–10 years engineering with project management.
• Experience with IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, ACI, PCI, AISC, NDS, TMS.
• Experience in design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, wood.
• PE licensure in the applying state.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary design engineer of record and project lead for projects.
• Provide regular project reviews on design progress, schedule and issues.
• Sign and seal plan sets as appropriate.
• Create or direct schematic design layouts and establish initial design direction.
• Plan tasks, timelines, and delegate to engineers and designers.
• Perform QA/QC of delegated tasks.
• Provide technical support and develop staff expertise.
• Coordinate with clients and design teams.
• Assist with RFIs and CA issues.
• Generate Program of Requirements and Master Plans.
• Develop augmentation procedures and integration.
• Generate proposals as necessary.
• Mentor staff on engineering design and project delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
