Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. (BAC) is offering an internship focused on 3D CAD sheet metal design and drafting for mechanical components and assemblies. You will convert drawings from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor and work on sheet metal part design, analysis, debugging, and rework.

The program concludes with a project report and presentation, giving you a comprehensive view of BAC's engineering design process and fabrication workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's (Junior or above) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical design skills and understanding of mechanical design practices.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to visualize mechanical relationships.
• 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor).
• Thorough understanding of AutoCAD.
• Sheet metal design experience preferred.
• Autodesk Vault knowledge preferred.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 3D CAD sheet metal design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Drawing conversion from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor.
• Sheet metal part design, analysis, debug and rework.
• Report preparation and presentation at the end of the project.
• All activities designed to give the intern a full understanding of the BAC engineering design and fabrication.
