Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to work on 3D CAD sheet metal design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies. The role includes converting drawings from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor and designing sheet metal parts with analysis and rework as needed.

You will prepare reports and present results at project end, gaining a full understanding of BAC engineering design and fabrication processes during the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical design experience and understanding of design practices.
• 3D CAD experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Autodesk Vault knowledge preferred.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Job description

• 3D CAD sheet metal design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies
• Drawing conversion from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor

• All activities will be designed to give the intern a full understanding of the BAC engineering design and insight into fabrication

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursing a Bachelors (Junior or above) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Mechanical Design skills and understanding of mechanical design practices
• Must be mechanically inclined and be able to visualize mechanical (spatial) relationships
• 3D Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) experience (i.e. Autodesk Inventor)
• Thorough understanding of AutoCAD
• Autodesk Vault knowledge preferred
• Previous internship experience preferred

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28 per hour.

BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
