Job summary

Design Within Reach, part of MillerKnoll, seeks a Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations, assist clients, and learn in a design-forward retail setting. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising under guidance from the Assistant Manager.

You’ll gain exposure to product knowledge, training sessions, and collaborative teams, with opportunities to grow in a creative, design-focused company that values

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail
• Willingness to learn Salesforce and design software (training provided)
• Able to lift over 40 lbs and move items as needed

Responsibilities

• Support the team with order processing, delivery coordination, and client follow-up
• Help maintain the store’s visual presentation and product displays
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies
• Learn about our products and design principles through training and team meetings
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide helpful, friendly service
