Job summary

S.C. Swiderski (SCS) in Mosinee, WI seeks a Design & Engineering Manager to lead the Design & Engineering Team, guiding architectural, structural, civil design, and BIM coordination from concept through construction readiness.

You will drive pre-construction planning, collaborate with Development, Construction, Estimating, and Procurement, and ensure design standards and quality across projects while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, architectural design, building science, or a closely related discipline required; advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in design, engineering, pre-construction, construction, or technical project delivery, with substantial experience supporting residential or multifamily development and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Design & Engineering Team including architectural design, structural engineering, civil/site engineering, and design project management.
• Establish design and engineering standards, templates, BIM practices, and quality-control procedures.
• Lead pre-construction design milestones, schedules, and deliverables from feasibility through permit-ready documents.
• Coordinate with Development, Construction, Estimating, Procurement, and Project Management to resolve constructability, cost, and schedule issues.
• Develop and monitor performance measures related to design-cycle time, project readiness, and workflow improvements.
