Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries seeks a Design Engineer to join the Windows division in Red Bluff, CA or Medford, WI. You will design, test, and analyze window and door systems, and help improve manufacturing processes. You’ll collaborate with suppliers, sales, and engineering to drive product performance and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of window/door design experience, a B.S. in mechanical engineering, and strong skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of window/door design experience.
• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with window/door designs and installation is a plus.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs for window and door systems.
• Design, test, and analyze new and existing products.
• Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Work with suppliers to evaluate components and materials.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to evaluate feedback on product performance.
• Assist with testing and certification of products.
• Provide and maintain accurate product documentation.
• Collaborate in a team environment with production, customer service, and sales.
