Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Drafter in Medford, WI to prepare accurate sales and production drawings for windows and doors. You will interpret complex product configurations, revise drawings, and collaborate across Inside Sales, Architectural Services, and Design Engineering to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting or related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for product design, drafting, and documentation.
• Experience with windows, doors, fenestration products and related industry terminology.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and customer information with high accuracy.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver design solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate and timely sales drawings, production drawings, and supporting documentation for window and door products.
• Interpret dimensions, conventions, product rules, and configurations for windows, doors, and mulled assemblies.
• Revise and maintain drawings based on customer requirements and manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Architectural Services, and Design Engineering to develop product solutions.
• Coordinate with plant and sales personnel to communicate drawing requirements and design updates.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and compliance with drafting and safety standards.
