Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation's Target Rock team in East Farmingdale, NY seeks a Design Engineer to develop 3D models and 2D layouts for valve products. You will review specs, perform analyses, select materials, and prepare design reports while coordinating with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure manufacturability.

The role requires 2+ years CAD experience, valve design knowledge, ASME codes, and FE analysis, with a BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering; MS and PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of 2D/3D CAD experience required.
• Knowledge of valve design and drafting practices.
• Proficiency in analysis techniques (tolerance/fit-up, structural, thermal, flow).
• Working knowledge of ASME B&PV Code and related standards.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and prepare 3D models, 2D layouts, assemblies and details.
• Prepare clearance/stack-up studies to ensure fit and function.
• Perform analyses to support and justify designs and select materials.
• Prepare and review design reports; interface with Manufacturing and Quality Control.
