Job summary

HTI is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to perform high-level, non-supervisory design work across all phases of new unit design, development, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning. You will collaborate with Lead Engineers and Project Managers to prioritize tasks and provide technical guidance to colleagues on assigned projects.

Candidate should have a strong engineering background in rotating machinery, familiarity with design stress calculations, and experience with contract

Qualifications

  • BSME and 4-8 years of mechanical engineering design and analysis in pumps, turbines, or compressors.
  • Strong SolidWorks or equivalent.
  • Experience with linear stress analysis (manual or FEA).
  • FEA types: static, thermal, frequency, transient, non-linear.
  • Understanding of rotating equipment design codes and industry practice.
  • 10–20% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Translate contract design specs into product design for components and assemblies.
  • Prepare manufacturing drawings, submittals, calculations, analyses, procedures, test plans, and reports.
  • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of HTI equipment.
  • Assist sales and staff engineers in applying equipment and interpreting specifications as needed.
  • Support manufacturing with design changes and disposition of discrepancies.
  • Develop test procedures, interpret results, and release test reports.
