Job summary
Kahr Bearing, a RBC Bearings company in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Design Engineer Trainee - New Graduate to join our engineering team. You will assist in the design, testing and documentation of new products and support manufacturing, collaborating with sales, production and customers to address design challenges.
The role emphasizes hands-on learning, GD&T familiarity, and the ability to read assembly drawings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Cursory knowledge of GD&T, schematics and inspection equipment.
- Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions.
- Demonstrated hands-on abilities through employment or personal projects.
- Ability to read and decipher assembly drawings and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Model safe behavior at all times.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes by deploying product and method enhancements.
- Support production with technical needs and determine materials, labor hours and inspection points.
- Optimize and document manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Work extra time as necessary to complete tasks.
