Job summary

BOA is seeking a Design Engineer in Denver to contribute across the full product development cycle—from concept to production. You will develop mechanical concepts, build prototypes, and produce 2D drawings and DFMEAs under mentorship.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of product development experience, plus Onshape CAD proficiency (or other CAD). The role offers hybrid work, a salary of $75,000–$100,000, a 10% annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 2+ years in product development projects.
• Onshape preferred or another 3D CAD system.
• Experience with manufacturing methods used in BOA’s products.
• Experience applying engineering analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, FEA).
• Ability to collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Reflect and model BOA’s vision and values across the team.
• Execute engineering work under guidance of Lead/Senior Design Engineer.
• Develop mechanical concepts to solve engineering challenges.
• Apply engineering calculations and analysis throughout design.
• Create 3D CAD models of designs in Onshape.
• Build prototypes and iterate through fast-fail testing.
• Create engineering documentation including 2D drawings, DFMEAs, and Tolerance Stack-Ups.
• Coordinate with external vendors on tooling and ramp-up.
• Come to reviews with recommendations and feedback.
