Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Design Engineer to support the Burndy Small Hydent product family. The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Product Management, Design Engineering, Sourcing and Purchasing to develop and execute designs, read specs, manage requirements, and coordinate across functions.

This position can be based out of our Manchester, NH OR Hamilton, OH facilities. Based in Hamilton, OH or Manchester, NH, you will create 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, design and test for cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor.
• 1-3 years of industry experience in product development.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with testing and regulatory requirements (UL/CSA).

Responsibilities

• Participate in New Product Development teams and contribute to design decisions.
• Design, develop, test and validate new and existing products.
• Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Evaluate products, parts and processes for cost efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute design modifications to improve product quality and function.
• Interact with engineers, sales, production, vendors and supply chain.
