Job summary

Marks, part of the Propelis Group, is seeking a Design Engineer Intern for a 6‑month term based in Chicago, January to June or June to December 2027. The intern will support engineering and industrial design teams on consumer product and packaging projects.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling in Solidworks, rendering in Keyshot, rapid prototyping and attending client meetings to provide technical support and creative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior working toward a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing and Design Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot experience desired.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling in Solidworks and rendering in Keyshot.
• Consumer product and package design, development, and testing.
• Rapid prototyping including use of 3D printers, CAD cutting table, and vacuum former.
• Assisting engineers and designers in design, prototyping and testing of new product/packaging solutions.
• Attend client meetings as needed to provide technical support and creative problem solving.
