Job summary

Marks, part of the Propelis Group, is seeking a Design Engineer Intern to support engineering and industrial design teams in consumer product and packaging development. This 6-month internship is based in Chicago, with January–June or June–December 2027 starts.

You will gain hands-on experience in 3D modeling, prototyping, and collaboration with designers and engineers across multiple clients and industries, while contributing to real project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing and Design Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot preferred.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling in Solidworks and rendering in Keyshot.
• Consumer product and package design, development, and testing.
• Rapid prototyping with 3D printers, CAD cutting table, and vacuum former.
• Assist engineers and designers in design, prototyping and testing of new product/packaging solutions.
• Attend client meetings to provide technical support and creative problem solving.
