Job summary

Generac is seeking a Designer III to support bringing new products to market and maintain design documentation. You will create 3D models, drawings, and specifications, and work with engineers to define scopes and verify fit and function.

Ideal candidates will have extensive CAD experience (CREO/SolidWorks), enclosure/mechanical design background, and strong collaboration skills to support multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 7 years of new product design experience
• Strong CAD skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of drafting standards (ASME Y14.5)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings and BOMs
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design details
• Mentor others and support design standards
• Support multiple projects with cross-functional groups
