Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design drawings and documents for CPSD customer orders. The role supports manufacturing and provides technical customer assistance for cooling products across data center applications.

Responsible for creating BOMs and engineering documents, analyzing test data, and assisting in lab operations. Travel to sites and vendor locations is expected to ensure project success and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in cooling systems or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of cooling equipment applications in data centers and commercial applications.
• Advanced knowledge of ASHRAE and other cooling standards and their applicability to products and applications.
• Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for customers, employees, and vendors.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and material.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office, CFD software, and CAD/engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Support product engineering activities for cooling products in data center environments.
• Prepare technical documents (drawings, BOMs, IBs) for orders and manufacturing.
• Review test data to set performance standards and verify designs meet specs.
• Provide technical support for customer proposals and inquiries.
• Assist in developing and operating cooling product test labs.
• Travel to customer sites and vendor locations to provide product support.
• Coordinate with certification agencies to obtain product compliance.
