Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and project management activities for Data Center Cooling systems. The role focuses on development, vendor oversight, and ensuring products meet customer specifications.

The incumbent will collaborate with customers, vendors, and CPSD to resolve technical issues, review proposals, and ensure compliance with listings and safety standards. Hybrid telework in Freedom, PA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; 7+ years design engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead product engineering activities for Data Center and IT Cooling products.
• Develop and oversee vendor design drawings, specs, and BOMs; prepare instruction books and renewal parts lists; review technical submittals.
• Review order documents to ensure compliance with customer specs and contract requirements.
• Provide technical support for development and review of customer proposals.
• Serve as lead technical liaison between customers, vendors and CPSD to align needs.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Provide guidance on assembly, testing techniques and process improvements for long-term planning.
• Research test data to establish performance standards and verify design conformance.
• Assist Manufacturing and Quality Assurance with design-related production problems.
• Coordinate product design with listing agencies (e.g., UL).
• Assess and elevate project risks to supervision and management when needed.
