Job summary

Reading Truck in Reading, PA is seeking a Design Engineer II to create and modify engineering documentation, drawings, and BOMs from specifications or sales orders, applying basic principles to solve problems of moderate complexity.

Responsibilities include SolidWorks 3D modeling, AutoCAD drawings, potential structural analysis, and collaboration with teams to meet customer and regulatory specs while supporting lean manufacturing and multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Three to six years of relevant experience depending on degree.
• SolidWorks certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify drawings, BOMs, and supporting docs from specifications or sales orders.
• Develop SolidWorks 3D models and AutoCAD drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve design suitability and manufacturability.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and multi-project work streams.
