Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer 1 in Madison, WI to help advance luxury refrigeration products. You will develop and validate energy-efficient designs, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and drive reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics is essential.
• Familiarity with basic circuits and controls is advantageous.
• Experience with CAD software, especially SolidWorks.

Responsabilités

• Resolve issues related to energy and environmental regulations, safety, reliability, and testing.
• Engineer refrigeration components and systems to meet standards and requirements from concept to production.
• Design peripheral systems such as water dispensing, icemaking, and airflow delivery.
• Generate design ideas and evaluate alternatives based on cost, quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver solutions.
• Test performance, analyze data, and follow test plans to validate concepts.
• Guide lab technicians and designers to meet project goals and implement engineering changes.
