Job summary

Techtronic Industries seeks a Design Engineer I to support the design and development of outdoor power equipment systems from concept through production, creating detailed CAD designs and supporting prototype builds.

Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will perform design verification, contribute to DFMEA inputs, and help with tolerances, drawings, and GD&T to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years design experience in consumer, industrial, or electromechanical products.
• Experience with 3D CAD (Creo / SolidWorks / NX or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Supports design and development for components, sub-assemblies, or systems from concept through production release.
• Develops 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, tolerance stacks, and specs for performance, durability, safety, and manufacturability.
• Analyzes problems, documents design trade-offs, and applies structured problem-solving methods.
• Supports DFMEA inputs, design verification plans, tolerance validation, and product release activities.
• Collaborates with Product Management to understand customer requirements and product objectives.
